Don,t feel bad. My first find was a dime back in 1984. Did not find another coin with that detector (Whites). Put it in the closet. With it still there bought a new one Whites in 2004. I have found a lot more this time. I don,t blame the detector, it was mostly me. Switched to Minelab in 2005, its been a blast since then.

I'm just happy it really works. I got it off Craigslist for $100, Ive never had one of these things in my hands , learned alot today like shoes with grommets are a no-no, chain link fence bad too hunt near, and wow there is alot of trash you cant see laying around ( we humans are pigs ).

I'm still going to frame it and hang it on the wall, even if it is only a penny worth: a penny(or less)

Looking for to chasing Jose Gaspar around this weekend, hope I find his trail.

I was thrilled to find clad when I first started, it was awesome... :headbang: Free money in the ground people lost, what a deal !! :o It will be in no time before you find your first old coin or silver... :icon_thumleft:

Keep @ It and HH !! ;D :D

Welcome to TNet!
You're going to have some serious fun

There are lots of those Mem's to be found and after a good season of hunting, the recoveries you make could add up to some decent cash ;D

(My first find (below) was buried in our yard the night before my first MD hunt. . . by my prankster son)

Looks like you are doing good to me! 2nd day and you already have a 1923 half dollar! I've been at this for a year now and still haven't found a half dollar!!

Nice finds....you are surely on the hook now!

Just got my first detector yesterday. Got a ACE250 and took it for a spin in the front yard with my 3 and 5 year old boys. It was already dark but I got a signal that looked like a dime. As I was digging it up my kids started talking about how pirates had burried treasure in our yard and we were going to find it. Low and behold out poped my first find....1970 cent. The kids were so excited it took a hour to calm them down before bed. I am sure when I get home today they will be ready to find some more pirate treasure.

Very nice second day btw. I hope mine is like that.
