Growing up in Indiana I was blessed with many things relic wise, but finding small true arrowheads was not one of those things (I have found 2 little Madison like points at my sites.) I’ve always loved them, the simplicity, the purity of design. Just efficient little tools made from high quality materials.
Like many of us, I was always blown away by the little notched points Steve/Larson used to post here, especially the Jaw Notch points he would post. So when the Loitwood collection from the Dakotas came up for auction, one of the things that I wanted to do was add to my birdpoint frame. It’ll be a couple of years before I get to work these into that big frame, but I think these are the ones that will make the cut. Many thanks to Quito/Joel for picking these out of thousands of points and helping me add them to my collection.
