I thought I would share my previous hunt on the site where I found the dime Friday. This hunt goes back to May, so I hope it still qualifies for Todays Finds forum. I literally found this site 15 years ago, but had been focusing on another site nearby, and just started exploring this site more in depth recently. On this hunt I checked out a new section of the site and was rewarded with these finds. I didn't get a chance to follow up until Friday when I found the dime.

I'm in need of some early silver this year. Dang Colonial Pennsylvanians and their copper-rich coin pouches. :laughing9:

In the Whiskey Rebellion book by Hogeland, it gives a good summary of the land dispute between PA and VA at the Forks. Spanish silver was flowing like wine in SW PA during its early years!

I just told your uncle Chris, the Virginia influence in SW PA is what I attribute the cut pieces I find to.
