through my rain soaked glasses. It was a treasure, but not what I thought it was. I saw the basic design and not the size at first and allbut dropped my pinpointer only to find out it was a one franc coin dated 1969. This is the second of these I have found.

The only other finds of yesterday was two memorial pennies and a 1941 wheattie.

Pretty good condition, and still a find but still not a liberty! This makes twice Ive jumped the gun and had the heart attack before really IDing the things!

Ive just got to tell myself to calm down, dont get excited. Wait till I clean things up a bit before telling myself what they are instead of telling myself what they may be.

Any find is a good find!

It feels too light to be silver, but I cant find any specs on the web for it. Of course I havent looked that hard yet either. Spring is here..well kind of. Its snowing again and calling for 1-3 of sleet, snow and rain. ;D ::) :'(

Yeah I know what you mean about getting excited. I have done that several times with rings and gold colored aluminum tokens and such. You just can't help it sometimes, LOL!!!...Nice coin you found.

That's what make is sooo much fun! Not knowing immediately exactly what ya got makes for so much excitement!!! ;D

Still a great find! Congrats!

Nana :)

Cool find!! I like finding foreign coins. It seems those are cupro-nickle.1967 the stopped making them out of silver.HH

That's funny. ;D
I stopped counting the # of times I've dug up "Remington" and "Winchester" coins. ;D
At least yours IS a coin.
Have Ridley tell you about his recent "large cent" coin he dug up on the farm. (or so he thought)
I thought I was going to have to give him CPR that day. ;)
Congrats.
