all photo's taken in St. Paul, MN I thought they would be cool to share!

Yes ! Those are cool. The second was painted black over the decals. HD Is offset and the double line pinstriping. The lines are rounded on the tank near the handle bars. (xray vision) lol.. My guess. The first is around 1914 and the second has the box on the tank . That started in 1924. Could be military as well.

If interested, American Iron magazine likes to print pictures of old photos of people on bikes. Historical images.

those are just a few I have more pics of those bikes.....that would be cool to get them in a mag I never thought of that.

First one looks like a Power Plus Indian , second two are J or Jd Harleys. Nice Bikes but Indian was and still is the best! "You can't wear out and Indian Scout or its brother the Indian Chief. They are built like rocks to take hard knocks. It's the Harleys that give all the Grief"

mattfink,
thank you for sharing the old family photos, cool stuff! A question, is the lady on the back of the bike your Great Grandmother? Daring GGPaw maybe also daring GGMaw...........63bkpkr

I had a '48 Chief . Loved that hunk of iron . Paid $125 for it and rode it home . Rode it for 3 years .'68 to '71 .

Yeah I love the old pics like that. I pulled my Harley out today and tooled around some. Guy on a scooter waved and beeped at me. I could not help but laugh :tongue3:
