Jackie Hopper maintained the grounds on my ranch in Texas for years and transformed it into a park-like setting. Not only was he a great worker and a wonderful person, he was also my good friend .. my kindred spirit ... the brother that I never had. Always had his eyes open for surface finds and had quite a collection of Native American artifacts, relics and bottles. Rest in Peace, Brother Hopper .. you will be missed by many!

Thank you Simon .. He was indeed. He fought many battles in life, and concurred them all except for sudden onset dementia which took him away very quickly.

My Condolences. Nothing like a sincere friend.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss creskol. Loss is never an easy thing. My heart goes out to you. One thing is good that stays with you forever, and that is all of the fond memories you two have shared. May you be well.

Creskol, Please accept my condolences on the loss of your friend. Hope the memories of your friendship bring you some measure of solace as time goes by.

SO long Mr. Hopper, We hardly knew yee. Sorry for the void Creskol. Chin up, it gets better

One of the issues of growing older is that we lose valued friends. Mom is 93 now, all of her friends are gone - sometimes I catch her crying. She's still cooking and feeding me, thinks I'm too skinny. I think that's why she's still here - I guess I give her purpose - and that is a blessing for me. I know someday she will leave. I'd rather not think any further about that....
