Some time back, a friend of mine was doing a bathroom remodel on a house he had bought many years before. The remodel was a complete tear-out that included new plumbing. Once he removed the access panel (which was caulked/screwed tight) for the bathtub plumbing, he found a ammo can tucked away and partially hidden with insulation. I will not post the entire list of what was found but will mention there were several key, semi-key dates found. The legalities are done, no known living family members of the previous owner of the house and the best part...he split this EQUALLY with the friends (4x split) who were there helping when it was found (not me unfortunately).
He did keep a few of the key/semi-key date coins for his wife, the bathroom turned out great and I was happy to have been called to help sort through this awesome find.
