my friend's first interesting find...

My friend was using my AT-pro and found what looks like a copper necklace - here it is in a picture with a dime for reference to size- no idea who made it -and it only has half a warn off letter on the back of it. it was found in a location that is near some old rail road tracks, and old factory from 1910 and a few foundations that have been used for party spots.

thanks all - I'll ask him about giving me a pic to post of the back even though it's details are mostly worn off ...

any idea who this is? or what?

Yes, I thought the same thing. It's just that's so unlikely, I discounted the thought as soon as I had it. He died in 1849 and didn't like having images made. However, once he died, he had no control over his images.

Here is a similar profile. What caught my attention was the hair and bow tie. Looks close, but not real close. Might be a place to look for more info anyway. (Mark Twain btw)

EDIT... never mind, I don't think he ever wore a goatee... sorry

Looking forward to seeing the picture of the reverse side. Any tiny clue would help. This bust could be of any number of "dead poets", or noteworthy scholars, or musicians.
