My friend found this today and wanted to know if this is an arrow head

I am not an expert but know some online. It looks like an arrowhead but I dont know if it is one. This was found in a Revolutionary and civil war are site. I cannot fine any info on metal arrowheads in this era. Only thing that keeps popping up is native Americans. This is just a little bigger than a quarter. Thanks for your help.

I don't know but it is as cool as hell. Almost looks like the tip of an anchor it's got a bit of a curve to it I wonder if it came off of some sort of insignia

What type metal is it? There were copper points made, and later some were made from the white man's iron. Tony

its not copper. its either Iron or steel
