My friend found one of the "Best" rings you'll ever see

when we hit fresh water spot the other day
Im like chest deep - he was in ankle deep water
we were finishing up hitting spot where we were looking for lost ring
I had just dug a silver ring and he said he found his "Best" ring ever
Im thinking he has something covered in diamonds - not! :BangHead:

this was found by him years ago in a land hunt and is best ring found by him
we were hunting a colonial farm field together when he found this - it is one of the oldest
known American made gold rings - 1682 and made by an American smith
it sold for around $30,000 at auction

Knock knock. IRS calling....

That's great...When he said he just got his best ring ever I bet you couldn't imagine what the ring that beat his 30,000 dollar ring looked like...funny stuff.

That could buy 12 ctx 3030's .. :)

Just for you -
those are actually my dirty fingers holding the ring

Feb 82/83 - you can barely see 83 under 82 - this was done cause it has something to do with year Jesus spent in the womb I guess
Dudley - family name - Royal governor of Ma.
his mother lived near town it was found - governors son died on that date - presume ring was made
(out of gold coin) and given to her - it is what is known as a mourning ring (identified as such by me when found)
it has Obit inside also- latin for death

we all dream of finding some sort of pirate treasure - gold coins and jewels etc
but one treasure I would like to find - supposedly theres a story of a trunk full of Paul Revere
silver items that sunk in a New England river on a small sloop - can you imagine what those items would be worth?

That is the coolest ring I've seen besides the Viking one I saw on here last year

Oh my goodness. Casper, this is incredible. Wish I had a shot at purchasing that ring. I'm a direct descendant of Thomas Dudley. Very, very cool.
