I found it back about 1995.
Surface find, at the bottom of a big bluff on the Spoon River in Central Illinois.
Where the Spoon River meets the Illinois River.
The archaeologist told me a neighbor found one several years prior in the same spot.
Makes me wonder if there is a mammoth down there.
I look in that area several times a year.
Someday, I will find another one.
 

Wow! Great find. You guys have got some very nice artifacts. I love the way they were made. If I ever get lucky maybe a cumberland here. Thanks for sharing a spectacular piece.
