The CTX is a wonderful detector. I bought one in August 2013 and I am halfway paying for it in finds. Good luck.

Looks like you're learning the new machine. Some might've given up figuring it to just be a hot rock.

Reminds me of when I helped an old lady find her pruning shears. They'd laid in some decorative, walking stones and laid a large cobblestone right over it.

Some kid may have hid that penny and covered it with the stone but failed to come back for it. Now, that a good imagination on my part! lol

You'll notice the dirt is still attached to the stone, and standing vertically. I was amazed the machine picked up the signal.

Quite exciting for a newbie!
