I dug this last fall, but this is my first post. I was hunting in a heavy trash area that i thought only went back to around 1835 boy, was i wrong i found this button and put it in my pocket, like the hundreds of flat buttons i had found, and continued to md until dark. i went home and was going to throw the button in with the rest of the buttons but decided to clean it. As i was cleaning it i noticed the eagle starting to emerge, I called my wife over to look at, she told me i was nuts,(she always says that). The more i cleaned the more it became clear. I haven't had that kind of excitement since i was a kid. Needless to say I look at all the buttons now i find very carefully. It still amazes me that I was lucky enough to find one of these. Thanks for an awesome site.
