Hey everyone, got a call from my local bank that one of the boxes I ordered came in today. I went and picked it up, turned out to be a really nice box. Found a 1937 Walking Liberty, my first ever :headbang:. Also found two 1962 Franklin's. It was a good day for 1964 halves, I found 8 of those. There were 11 %40 halves as well. Finally I found two nice 1990S proofs. Theyre not silver but still nice looking coins worth a few times face. Cant wait for my four other boxes to come on friday ;D

Awesome score, hope your next few boxes consist of that much silver or more!!!

Great finds! Walkers are still my favorite to find. I have yet to find a barber. :headbang:

Enjoy and hh

That was a "really nice box". And that "37 WL is a better date coin too - even better if it has a mint mark.

I just ordered my first garda box today and I would be a happy hunter if I found if I scored half of what you found. And I would love to find my first WL.

Finding silver @ face is oh so great. HH

Isnt it ;D? Im pretty new to coin roll hunting, I am already addicted though. I want to branch into dimes as well. And I am contemplating saving copper pennies for the future, in 30 years they may be hunted just like we're hunting silver.

I've been hunting a couple of years though I haven't cone much box searching. I just bought my first dime box over the weekend and scored 2 keepers and I bought another box just yesterday and I've only gone through $100 (no luck yet).

You are right about the copper cents - they are still just under $.03 each and it will probably be a while before they are worth 30xfv like silver currently is - but they are a lot more common to find - at least as of now. And if you've heard or read the stories about people stealing copper wiring; that's an indication of copper's increasing value.

That '37 Walker looks to be in rather nice condition - with a clear date and full rims (obv. anyway - I don't know about rev.) I would say about F condition judging from the obv. Have you checked for a mint mark? I'd sure like to find a Walker like that one - but ant Walker would be great.

HH

Heres the back of the walker. After this score Im really ,really excited to get my 4 boxes early this morning :tongue3:

Thanks! They get them from Brinks. I got six boxes today, pretty much busts :-\. But still a good week, and its cheap silver. Cant be beat

Thanks, I take solace knoiwing brinks can still pay out

I have to agree with SF on this one. VG+/F-, good find there.... :icon_thumright: :icon_thumleft:

Thanks for helping with the condition! I am going to keep this one and when Brinks is killing me I will look at it with hope lol. Wish there was a mintmark ;D

No mint mark (Philadelphia):
Slightly worn - $9
Almost no wear - $22
Uncirculated - $40 to $7,150 depending on quality

"D" mint mark (Denver):
Slightly worn - $15
Almost no wear - $85
Uncirculated - $162 to $4,320

"S" mint mark (San Francisco):
Slightly worn - $9
Almost no wear - $67
Uncirculated - $132 to $5,880

This was from Feburary of 2010, adjust for the price of silver and you looking at roughly a 30 - 40 dollar coin in that condition. 1937 (P) had a healthy 9+ Million pieces created.
