A good friend of mine was kind enough to take me to a recent demo site where there used to be a farm house from earlier in the century. It's being cleared now for some new structure. When we got there, you would never have thought "old". All the housing around it is within 30-40 years old, and the lot itself was scraped clean, no house, just level dirt. MY friend had pulled a few 1890 coins the day before, including a nice V-Nickle. I was happy to look for leftovers before the construction crews moved in.
We spent about 6 hours there and I was lucky enough to find my FIRST V-NICKLE . Looks like hell but I still love it! The date 1912 had me going for a little while too but there's no S. Can't ask for everything on your first V Also found a couple wheat's, a "Good For" token, a pretty good Indian, and an interesting antique sterling silver handle covering from a brush or something. The opening at the end looks to small to be for the neck of a brush so not sure what . Maybe a vintage tooth brush? Any ideas?
