So yesterday I decided to try a spot that I had stopped at once befor but the ground is as hard as a rock. Well this time I took my rock pick and digging tool. And managed to find my very first V Nickel. All I could make out was 190? I've got he's soaking in olive oil and will try to clean her up with a toothpick. image.jpgimage.jpgthanks for lookin

Congrats on your first V

Congratulations on the recovery, hope it cleans up for you!

Sweet save. The V-nickle continues to evade my coil..

I can read 1905 in your first picture- nice find, hope it cleans up.

Thanks everyone. I was really sieked. It's my second oldest coin. When it came out of the ground all I could see was the 190. It wasn't until I spit on it and brushed it off that I could see the full date. I love this hobby but it's so hard finding good locations. All the old parks are pounded.

Congrats on your first!

V nickels are always a nice suprise. Especially with a date!!! Nice save!

Nice job finding the V. Hard to get a good readable date on them sometimes.

any v with a date is a good one, they don't pop up all that often!

Congrats on your first V nickel! Sounds like you worked hard for that one, hope you guys get some rain.

Congrats on the V! I have never found one
