That is a very nice ring ! Perhaps made in the 1970's (likely Navajo made ) The stones originally had sawdust underneath them to pad them from
contact , over time the sawdust disintigrates and the stones sink as yours obviously have . The ring can be taken to a silversmith who can back
the bezels out , remove the stones and reset them at the appropriate height for the bezels .

I was thinking the same thing about being Native American. I have a good friend that is Navajo that I was going to gift this one to after I get it fixed. She is 67 now and makes amazing authentic Navajo jewelry. I didn't know about the sawdust...that is very interesting...Thanks for the info Argentium...

Very cool ring !

That's a really cool ring! Very unique. I'm also interested, what is the plane in your signature?

Thanks Everyone....Its one of my favorite things I have dug....TALON.....The aircraft is an OV-1D Mohawk Surveillance Aircraft. It was used by the Army from 1961 - 1996 when she was retired. It was my baby for almost 9 years. Fun to fly and hard to maintain...LOL That is where my handle comes from....

It's a seriously cool looking plane! I'll go look it up now. Were you pilot or crew chief?

Beautiful ring! And coffee money! I love it!
