First hunt of my season, went out to an old one room schoolhouse that closed in the thirties. Private property now but the land owner gave me permission. View attachment IMG_20170331_142840086_HDR.jpgMy second target was the standing liberty quarter, and man what a beauty! Anyone have any idea what one is worth in this condition??? IMG_20170331_205536.jpgIMG_20170331_205444.jpgView attachment IMG_20170331_120011364.jpgAlso found a 1911 V nickel, a 1918 buffalo nickel, and two wheats. Couldn't get a date off the wheats.IMG_20170401_085128.jpgIMG_20170401_085204.jpgIMG_20170401_084857980.jpgIMG_20170401_084941923.jpg What a way to start the season, I hope this is only the tip of the iceberg. Thanks for looking, and happy hunting everyone.

What a day. Thats a real sharp SLQ. Thanks for sharing

One of the nicest dug SLQs I have ever seen. Congrats!

Not sure what it would grade but my 2015 price guide list it at $22 in fine and $40 in very fine. At any rate it's a nice find.

That's an awesome hunt, and one of the nicest SLQ's! Congrats!

You have dug a 1926d. The Denver mint mark is to the left, above the date. If it isn't graded with an "Environmentally Damaged" tag it would probably grade as AU50. That would put it in the $80 - $100 range. That is one pretty coin.
Congratulations

Wow! That SLQ is in beautiful shape. Probably one of the prettiest ones i've ever seen! Nice Finds and Good Job!:icon_thumright: ~TheButtonKing

Great find!

Congrats on your first SLQ. That one is a blazer with a full date. Most of those coins have the date worn off of it.

WOW! That SLQ has some great detail! Readable date on the buffalo, and the V ain't too shabby either, congrats and HH

Congrats on some very nice finds! Keep hunting that permission, bet there is more to find....

The condition of that SLQ is amazing! The few I have dug don't ever seem to have a date. Congrats on a great 1st hunt of the season. Love the picture of the old school house!

Awesome finds! I'm jealous.

Nice detail on that coin, I still am waiting for that one to pop up, but with the year I'm having I'll find it soon!
Great job! Love that school house too

Maybe the price guide shows $22 But its priceless to you. I wouldn't part with it no matter the price.
