A fun find for sure , obviously it would be a bit "dandier " if it were sterling or coin silver , I dream of finding a silver spoon !

Is it sterling? I found two older spoons that were platted and they do t look nearly as silver they almost look black

Thanx guys. I'm not sure. Plated? Maybe ? It has that dull look to it. Still checking. Just stirred my java with it. I may have found me a sweet spot. Here in Western NC, we are known for cotton mills and used cars. The cotton mills are mostly gone now. I found an old flat site with some steps. Spoon was at the top of them. It is behind a clock tower memorial. Where a cotton mill magnate lived abt a hundred yrs ago. The site had a hand drawn map of how the place looked in the forties, along with dwellings etc listed. The place with the steps was not listed....wish me luck!

it is silver plate. Community turned into Onieda.

The pattern is called Milady---Patterns in Silverplate pattern dates to about 1940.

Very pretty spoon! I've been saving all of the silver plated utensils that I've found (so far, I've got two forks a spoon and a butter knife) and one of these days, I'm going to make a set of windchimes for my kitchen with them.
