I have had my DFX 300 for a couple of weeks now, and have managed to pull about 20 wheat pennies from a nearby park. The only problem is that this park is incredibly trashy (3-5 targets per swing kind of trashy).
Well, I received my new coil in the mail yesterday (the Eclipse 5.3) and figured I would take it out to the park and see if it does any better for me. I got up bright and early and headed out (in the rain no less). When I got there I found that the coil was DOA.
Back to the house for the old coil, and back to the park I went. Searched a little while finding the usual stuff (still no silver from this park, despite all the wheats) then I decided to hit the tot-lot since I never had, and it was empty for once.
In about 15 minutes I had cleared the whole lot out, made about 2 bucks in clad, and pulled this guy out of the wood chips, about 3 inches down.
Its not too old, but its silver (so that's a start).
