It is Easy to Tell Yours IS SILVER.

It has The MINT MARK above the DOME.

Congrats on the first silver!

As far as other coins (besides pennies) anything pre-1965 will be silver (U.S.-wise).
Kennedy halves being the exception. They were partially silver up until later years, but I don't have my redbook with me and I'm haivng a serious brain cramp right now!

Anyway, congrats!

Way ta go Kermit!!! Nice find!

And thanks for the pic!

;)

Congrats Kermit on your first silver ! Good Luck in the future !

Huntin' 59er

Way to go on your first silver! Those fields can be boring to hunt but sometimes worth it.Keep it up.HH

Nice, My first Silver was that same COIN!!

I also love War Nickles, so much history and other things in that coin!!

Keep @ it and HH!!

Nickels were only silver(I'm thinking 35-40%) 1942-45. Dimes, quarters, halves, and dollars were silver(90%) before 1965. Kennedy halves from 1965-70 were about 30% silver.
