After seeing everyone elses posts on here of their finds so far this year I had to get out there. I had to visit one of my offices I support today (I am an IT Analyst) and after I finished I decided to hit the local park. Its a pretty old park and I am always looking for silver so thought I would hit some of the out of the way places where I wouldn't find a whole lot but might luck out and hit a silver or two. One of my first signals registered OVERLOAD on my DFX so I thought I had found a can near the surface. I used my probe to see if it was right on top and sure enough it was. I used my digger to pry it up and much to my surprise it wasn't a can but a pile of change. From that hole I ended up with 2 dimes and 10 pennies. about 20 or 30 feet away from there I hit a nickel at about 4". Much to my surprise that wasn't a nickel either, it was a nice 14kt gold mans wedding band. Sorry for the bad pictures I haven't found a good way to photograph rings yet and you really can't see it from the scanner.
Thanks for looking and Happy Hunting!
