I am having a hard time getting my pics to work....says they are too large.

you need to use a lower resolution on camera... or reduce the file size in an image software program.. cool find

Wildcat:

Here is some quick advice on taking great pictures for posting.

1) First set the camera to "Macro" mode. It is usually represented by a tulip icon.

2) Go into the menu and adjust picture size to the smallest size available.

3) Turn the flash off.

4) Set the camera on a tripod about 6-12 inches from the coin (you may need to adjust this).

5) Set the self timer.

6) Zoom to desired focal length

7) Focus

8) Depress the shutter button.

I like to crop my pics in Windows Picture Editor as well.

I hope this helps!

I have been looking at everyones postings on here for awhile, and am glad I finally started posting my own. I would like to thank everyone for their nice comments and making me feel welcome!! HH to all, and to all a GH!!

looks like you figured out the picture thing! beautiful merc! welcome to the forum!

This was found with my bounty hunter, but I have found lots of goodies with my OLD tesoro sidewinder. It is basic and simple, but loves to find goodies!!! I started detecting in 1998, then for some reason, not sure what it was...just stopped. Then got the fever back the first of this year. I wont give it up again!!

I love those simple old machines!

Every once in a while I take out the White's PRL1 (I think they are still making them). Only has discrimination knob and an "all metal" pinpoint toggle. No ID, No Depth. You hafta dig everything. I like to take it out because it sharpens my listening / guessing skills!
