my first post and my first ring

My Dad got me started on this website and metal detecting so this is my first post.
We went out on tuesday in the afternoon and one of the thing's that I found was a cadillac emblem. When i was on my way back to the car i dug my first sterling silver ring that use to be a child's ring. Anyone have an idea on how old it could be? It has a flower design stamped around the outside and says "STERLING" in it.
