My dad found two of those pieces here in the 90s, so there could be another plate out here!That's a great piece. There's another, smaller piece that mates to the right side (as you're looking at it). Check around where you found it to see if you get it. I found a buckle like that, but never found the smaller piece.

I found a similar plate a few years back. It has a number on the back corner that corresponds to the number on the receiver piece. (Mine is a 504 see picture below) One of the ones your father found may be the match for your plate. It’s worth a look. Congratulations on a great find.
