Have a 1800 home that is amazing in town and told myself if I ever see the owners in the yard I was going to stop and ask for permission to detect it.Today was the day ! He and his wife are planting some flowers today and said I could come back tomorrow but in the mean time he has another 1940’s home down the street and I could do that house today. So I ran down and spent about 30 minutes , wanted to show them I could find items and not cause a mess of the yard . He is a car guy also so drive my vw double cab pickup to the permission and found a nice amount of items in the short period and drive the old truck back to his house and showed him and his wife . Excited about both places but the 1800 home is going to be a dream detecting.

A good history

Cool angel!

Nice permissions! That is exactly how I work... i wait to catch them outside and stop, that way I know I’m not interrupting their dinner or anything else. I’m a gear head too and your VW is cool as hell! Good luck on both permissions, make sure to post piles of silver! Ddf.

You do have cool covered with the double cab VW pickup!

Still looking for an Econoline or Dodge A-100 pickup.

Quick update

Ran back after dinner for about 20-30 minutes to the 40’s home, 21 more coins a couple of wheats , but the best was the heavy metal ESSO tag!!! Going to be doing some serious detecting tomorrow hopefully

Just found out the logo script dates the ESSO 1923-1934 heck yea!!!

Nice, that's the way to get permissions. Good luck on the 1800s house, can't wait to see what you find. And that truck is freakin awesome!

Can’t leave out my 2 67 single cabs

Thanks for the comments on the double cab here is my 2 67 single cabs, one I restored a few years ago, and the other left original . Love my VW trucks
