Had my Ace 250 for about a month now and bagged my first old coin. An 1876 Seated Liberty quarter plain. I found her in a field where a 1912 topo map shows a town close to a creek. The town was relocated to higher ground when a dam was constructed in 1939. So I figured I'd try my luck. Lots of trashy hits in the wooded parts, but the open field proved to be a success. Also, found another coin about 20 feet away. This coin says "butter packer wooster ohio" and some other stuff I can't make out. Still in the cleaning process. But she rang as a quarter. Maybe some kind of vending coin or something. I'll have to look into it. But, I assume it's old as well. Anyway, I think I may have found a new hunting ground. The Seated Liberty is plenty worn, but was an exciting find for me.
