Well today's been GREAT! I first started off with a search and rescue mission looking for a lost ring of a friends and found it. So after that I headed off with my sister and found my first old coin and found a 1898 Indian Head (photo attached)..
Man oh man. Also I've been teaching my sister how to detect and she found herself a nice wheat penny :)

Indians are still my favorite thing to find...when I was a kid detecting with my grand-pop Indians where the greatest thing for me and I still, (I'm almost 40 now) get excited every time I dig one up...good job:thumbsup:

Great IH, I have yet to dig one.

My only two Indian Cents were 1898 and 1899, but discovered 5 years and several thousand miles apart!
Keep after it!! Remember, its not (if) you're going to find something great, its (When) you're going to find something great!
Persistence pays off!!!

And, Good Job on finding that ring! I was great to see their relieved looks on their smiling faces, i know how you felt, as two years ago, I recovered a ring for a man. So keep smiling!

Cool coin, but where's the pic of the ring?

I didn't have time to take a pic of it. The homeowners were so excited...they snatched it lol

Nice Indian.
