So I've been waiting to post this for a while. Earlier this year, I ordered 4 boxes of half dollars. I went to pick them up and the teller said there were also loose rolls of halves. I assumed they were clad dumps. He asked if I wanted them. The other teller said something like "they have a lot of silver in them". I was certain at this point that they were clad dumps.

But, since it was 18 rolls and I had the cash on me, I obeyed the "Buy Them All" commandment.

I got to the car and was shocked when the 1st roll was almost all silver!

I had a function with one of my kids that night and could hardly wait until I got home (well actually I didn't.....opened 3 rolls....lots of silver and my 1st solid roll!).

I had the kids help me that night.....photos and videos from each roll.

Totals......approx 170 silver from 18 rolls. 3x90%.....the rest 40%.

3 rolls of uncirculated Bicentenniels as well.

Hope this is not my last score like this but we'll see.

I think the other 4 boxes produced a measly 3 x 40%.

That's a beautiful thing! Thanks for sharing!

Holy crap! You can delete the word mini from your title. How were the boxes?

Damn man. I was actually coming to post about my first full roll score, but you trumped that by a mile! Well done.

Yea thats not mini at all!!!

Any pics of the bicentennials? Thats amazing, 3 solid rolls of them you said?

Well done!

I think he meant the bicentennials are uncirculated clad.. which isn't that uncommon.. but seems to come with collection dumps

(I'm sure if I was alive in 1975-1976, I'd have saved a few rolls too thinking they'd be worth something someday...)

The 3 rolls of Bicentenniels were clad...sorry for not being clear. I actually only opened 1 roll...left the other 2 unopened.

The 3 rolls were different than the others. It is an assumption that the other 2 are clad Bicentenniels like the one I opened since they look the same and the ends are all Bicentenniels. I did not want to ruin the value if there was a value of having them wrapped.

Major,,,,,,,,,not mini,,,,,,

What boris was asking is, are the bicentennial rolls in a machine wrapped roll, or still a handwrapped roll? If they are machine wrapped, thats pretty sweet, and I wouldnt open them either.

Here is a photo of the 2 rolls...appear to be machine wrapped
