A sterling silver cuff link!
Pretty stoked to pull this out of the front yard of the farmhouse.

A local Jeweler could probably tell you what it's made of free of charge.
Thanks for the advice, it’s a good idea. I found the “Sterling” stamp on the shank, but I might take it in anyway just to see if they know anything about it.

Possibly showing the head of Mars, Roman god of war.
I've always thought of them as a Centurion. Seems they were a popular motif in men's jewelry in the first half of the 20th century. My grandpa had a gold ring with a red stone intaglio Centurion motif. I remember seeing other men from the earlier generations wearing rings like it in the 60s and 70s and for some reason they always caught my eye. It was popular and I can't figure out why or what the meaning behind the Centurion symbol signifies. Etsy sure has a few Centurion cufflinks listed, but I can't find any like this exact one.
