HI EVERYONE ! This Iron/Nickel meteorite was tested at cal-poly pomona ca.the geo guy said in 30 years he had never had someone bring him a meteorite from ontario ca. I was detecting in a field across from post office in busy down town, there it was just laying there!! I knew what was.it still had fusion crust, and small oblation pits. It weights 43.09g. I checked all surounding fields but did not find any others. I guess its hard to find them in the middle of a city! Hope you like the pixs pix 008.jpgpix 009.jpgpix 010.jpg:hello:

Hello Oklahoma Digger..you know all the money i have Invested in my detectors,I have a cheep old shoot and point camera ! your right time to update and I hope you find a nice Iron meteor ! see ya..

no just said nice find..myself i dont know, but i sure like to find another!

Your way too lucky to spend your time MD'ing Why don't you meet me in Vegas.

@ DIGITMAN... I'm going to this pawn shop that sells metal detectors to see if they will give me a good deal. Good luck & maybe we all could hit Vegas lol... Again, congrats on your find.

I'm wonderin if'n you had an exact compositional analysis done with XRF and SEM equipment there at that college,
then had that info. along with recovery cords. submitted to the met-bull officially documenting a new find.
If so, you could end up in some kinda trouble with owners of the property you took it from if'n you didn't have
written permission to keep whatever you had found. Just sayin. But, no matter what, congrats on yer find.

Great find! I have a possible meteorite being evaluated right now.

Very nice find!

Did you have it cut open? Why does the edge look flat like someone has cut it?
