My first interesting find!

today, before the snow started comin down like crazy, i went out with my MD, and to my surprise, all i found was pennies...until i crossed over a spot in my own backyard. It was a small hit, but i was desperate for a find. I spent five minutes just getting under the top layer of frozen ground-and 8 inches later, i found a somewhat large metal ball. When i showed it to my father, he told me that it is probably an old war shot. The Rev. war went right through here, but im not sure if that is what it is from. hopefully ill find out soon.

could be a Rev war cannon ball. Someone posted a question in Relics or Civil War asking about cannon balls. Read warning about black powder filled ones.

depending on size it'smostlikely just a ball bering, but who knows
