My first good finds

Got a mens wedding band on a saltwater beach Thursday and a merc at a freshwater beach on Mon morning. Really good for me considering ive been detecting on and off for two years with nothing to show for it. Finally starting to pay off!

Very nice! Wish I had access to beaches to search. I'm hoping to be able to hunt a parking lot next week. I'm like you, I'll keep at it ten years if I have to. I went out for a few hours today but didn't get a single signal...I have fun regardless.

If you are going to post about finds you've gotta give us a pic. I didn't find a merc today and I've seen a bunch but I want to see yours and relive the thrill of that first glimpse of something shiny in the hole/plug.

Sounds like a good hunt though...

I'd like to see your merc also! Coins show up well just using a scanner if you aren't into photos. Beaches are fun to hunt as they're always beautiful & relaxing even when our finds are scanty, BUT the very best items my son & I have each found were in "ugly" spots -- old train cuts where the line has been discontinued for many years, and rough fields that show remnants of old building foundations. Even a tiny park had gold surprise! Never can tell what's popping up where! Have lots of fun and big congrats on your finds of wedding ring and merc! Andi

Thanks everyone for the comments. I always just keep trying knowing what i can possibly find. Ever since these finds ive noticed im alot more serious about detecting now. Anyway u asked so heres a pic.
