Hey guys and girls I haven’t posted in while but I am still putting the coil to the soil. My pal Dan suggested we hit up the lake (beach) since school was back in. This is the same lake (beach) that everybody hits during the weekend, holidays, and summer break. We got skunked pull tab after pull tab bit o foil after bit o foil until I got this. I think it might be my first GOLD COIN. It came up as 12-08 on my E-trac and about 5 inches down. It was in the shape of an earring but I straighten it out for the pics.Thank you for looking,Brown BearPs. If anyone knows what it is I would appreciate it. The penny is for a size reference. Also I will post this find on another forum.

UPDATE
Hey guys and girls I took the coin (earring) to the coin shop today.
The owner said it’s a replica of the Mexican 50 pesos (Dangit), but the good news its 14KT worth about $20. He wanted to buy it but I declined, also he offered to look at any coin I find. Who says the etrac cannot grab small gold(HAHAHAH)

PS. I will be back to that lake(beach) in Ga this week looking for the other pair

Thanks for the info and replies,

nice gold replica. that's a cool find :icon_thumleft:
