My First Flying Eagle Cent!!

Having never found one I had a tough time ID'ing her in the field. I put it in my finds box thinking I had a worn out wheatie or something. What a surprise when I cleaned her up at home. I was able to get a date - 1857

Excellent find! Effectively, this coin was only minted 2 years! They are tiny! Extremely hard to get over one. Yet....its one of my strangest coins! Because I have found about SIX of these things over my long "career"! Fascinates me every single time one shows up!
