Bounty Hunter IV
Went out to see my Aunty, day before yesterday... she lives in an old church that has been done up to be lived in as a rental.
I thought it was around 120 years old , but found a set stone with the engravings that it was built in 1947.
Not letting this get me down , i popped the new batteries into my bounty hunter and started off , as i was in a rush to beat the daylight , i was using tone mode only... hitting a few broken tones i bypassed them and got my first strong signal.. i dug up my first three pence and i was stoked.
Next i headed around the back and hit a nice six pence and another three pence.
I was covering ground pretty fast and wildly , so i would have passed over alot i believe.
My last coin was a 5 cent only a few years old.
The pre decimal coins are all dated in the early 1950's , one looks in almost new condition.

When i get a chance i'll post up a picture , but i will be heading back out there in the next few days and having a good long look around... i'll be hitting the beach this sunday (depending on the weather , BIG seas at the moment)...

All the best good people ,
cheers
AJ ;)

I think your silver coins ended the same time as the house was built? So you have a chance of getting a worn silver :)

i hope so , some silver would be nice :o

i was talking to my Aunty again today and she asked me when i was coming out again?
At this very moment i'm building a volume control box for my headphones , using an old bait holder container that connects to a belt , i'll have it done in a couple of hours.
then i'lll be good to go , with headphones this time. ;)

People often tell me to use headphones but I never do ;D

Do you really like the Bounty Hunter? I have a Fischer CZ-3D for me, but i want to get a decent one for my boys so they can join me in the hunt when spring hits in my area.

axel i hope get one of those worn silvers lost by run away convicts or settlers known as a New South Wales Holey Dollar or the smaller Dump. You have a chance if the site is located east of The Great Divide to the coast.Often early structures may have existed in this location.Keep an eye on the coppers too there about 6 of them that will light up your eyes. NSW has some amazingly rare coins buried in its ground.
Shame i live a 1000 kms away lol
