A crystle you hang off your mirror in the car.

Re: My first finds & First Post

LT, Congratulations on getting out and beginning an adventure which will likely be a lifelong friend.
I too am new to treasurehunting, but i've totally caught the bug. I am reluctantly beginning to dig those
pull tab signals as well and you are smart to do so. Soon you'll be posting that wonderful gold ring/ with
precious stones. Great hunting !!! Gregory, Santa Fe.

Re: My first finds & First Post

Yeah. We had gotten ours this week and I have been reading that the pull tabs signals can be rings sometimes. I noticed sometimes even cans would show up as back and forth from coins to alum.

The play I went today was bulldozed down after it was purchased from my parents. I know there was more then one woman who has tossed her ring in the dark in a fight and When i was 12 I had found one. Its partly a gravel parking lot and its packed dirt so things are only 3 inchs to 4 down.

Hope to find more.

Re: My first finds & First Post

Looks a lot like my early finds. A place like that is going to have a lot of fluff. Try to locate places that have been used over the years but not abused. Try to find an old part of town that is kinda obscure where people hung out, but there wasn't a ton of people. That's my two cents. Happy hunting.

Re: My first finds & First Post

Welcome to the site LT, nice first finds. Keep digging all the signals like you are now. Listen to what the different signals sound like and try to guess what you are going to dig. You will be surprised at how proficient you will get at pinpointing and identifying what is in the ground. Good Luck!

Re: My first finds & First Post

Good first finds. It might not be gold or silver right now, but it'll come! I do see some brass and aluminum though. Throw 'em in a couple of pails and start a scrap collection!
