My first find 2013

This is my favorite find I picked a md up when I was 12 only found nails and gave up until this last year I got back into it the very first hole I found this sons of vets medal. If any one can tell me more about it that would help I couldn't find one like it

Kinda but mine has a.l.s on the cross could it be tied to who owned it?

The L.A.S. stands for Ladies Aid Society. They were one of the original auxiliary services with the Sons of Veterans. That should date it between approx 1883-1894

Thanks for the info found it in my moms basement never seen one with the a.l.s her house was built in 1882 was 8inch deep in rock hard dirt

Thanks poorman15 it hooked me right in way better then the nails I found at 12 lol see my brother was into mding hard core but he broke his neck now he can't do much but I ask him about every thing tell him where I'm going show him my finds he thought I was funny for searching the crawl space said I would only find junk 45 min later I showed him that I just knew there was some thing down there and no lie it was the first target I dug
