If it's a nice AU coin it should have a slight premium over spot because it is the key date NIFC silver (non-proof) Kennedy half.

Congrats - that's a nice first ender to find!

so, what did the rest of the box contain?!! :icon_thumleft:

agreed! you must provide us with more details!! haha

The rest of the box had 5 more 40% halves (65-67), and two 1964's (which were side by side in one roll!). I'll see if I can't get a picture of the 1970 for y'all, bear with me. ;D

Here is a picture of it, sorry for the quality. My phone camera isn't so great!

Gah I have competition now ::) Save some silver for me!! :headbang:

No worries, I don't go through much. I'm in college, so my resources are somewhat limited. :laughing7:

Ah, I go to Belhaven (in Jackson). Not alot to do around here, so I tear up as many boxes of coins as I can get my hands on! :icon_pirat:

I'm taking accounting right now, but don't like it very much.... :-[

ewwwwww have fun with that! Nice 70' btw. I haven't found one yet. Found 6 walkers and 6 franklins though. Just slug it out, The silver will come.

Thanks! I found a '52 Franklin the other day, but have yet to find a Walker...

As advice from an elder...consider getting out now before you get stuck in a career doing that.

One day, you'll wake up and be 48 years old...still want to be in accounting then?

BTW...nice finds on the 70!!! That must be pretty exciting!!!

I still haven't found one yet.

Sorry to sound like somebody's dad in my last post.

And I forgot to take a picture before I busted the roll open because I was so excited...... It is an almost uncirculated 1970D, my first 1970! Are those worth any kind of premium, or just about the same as any other 40% half?

Where a normal 40% carries about $5.00 in melt, the 1970D is the toughy to get, worth about $10.00 to a CRH, A little more for somebody looking to fill an album.
