I've been detecting for three years and only found one of those elongated coins. Not worth a lot, but a cool find anyway! Good job!

Congrats on your find PlotDigger and wish you many more while out dirt fishing.

Cool man. I never dug one of those. How is the digging in Montreal? Any old spots still intact or is everything built over?

Nice find

Steve

Those elongated pennies are a nice find. I like finding them because they show the business, organization, or place that they were tied to.

Nice find and welcome to TNet.

I was told that they have a machine that you put a cent into, crank the handle, and out comes the "elongated" souvenir coin.

I found one from the SC Aquarium in a school yard.

Best of luck to you sir!

Congratz! I only have 4 of those: one from a local church event, one from the Jackson Zoo, one from Graceland and one from Bass Pro Shops. I love 'em!

Nice job! What does it say? I've foud three so far. One was from Seattle and I'm in Cental NC

They are fun to dig, and they do have a different signal and sound than an intact cent in my ATPro for some reason. I have dug dozens, nearly all at elementary school yards, where kids take them to show off, and lose them. Best of luck and I hope you find some more. Sub 8-)

In 20 plus years I've only found one last summer with the lords prayer on it.

Regards + HH

Bill
