After hitting a pretty bad skunk streak a few months ago I had decided to take a break from CRH, but the bug eventually bit me again and I restarted by regular weekly order of 4 boxes of halves. So last night after the kids went down I started busting into them, and I'm still in shock at what I found!
The first box was very good: a total of 25 keepers (22 40% Kennedy halves, 2 90% Kennedy halves, and 1 Franklin half). But take a look at this roll, which was a preview of what was to come. Yes Virginia, there are 8 keepers in that one roll!
The second box was nothing exciting: just one 40% Kennedy. But I knew I was in for something special when I opened the third box when I saw several enders looking up at me. Ended up being 12 rolls with enders, including one Walking Liberty ender.
I started opening by ender rolls and was shocked at the results. One roll had 10, another 8, several had 7. When it was all said and done I had 160 keepers from that one box: 136 40% Kennedy, 19 90% Kennedy, 4 90% Franklins, and 1 Walking Liberty Half. Of the 50 rolls in the box, 41 had at least one silver coin.
And what became of the fourth and final box you ask? Skunk! I certainly can't complain though when this is the night's sorted haul. Total for the evening was 159 40% Kennedy, 21 90% Kennedy, 5 Franklin, and 1 Walking Liberty!
I'll probably post more detail later on on my blog, but I just had to share this find. This is why we do this! The silver is still out there!
