Hi all,

I visited to the volleyball sandpits at the park that I searched very thoroughly about 2 weeks ago. There are 3 nets and 3 referee towers..in the corner of the inside structure of one of the towers I got a nice signal about 4 inches deep, which turned out to be this gorgeous silver crucifix:

It measures 1 1/4" wide and 1 7/8 inches long.

Also in the sand I found this odd looking ring, open-ended like some bracelets I've seen.

I was out by 7:30 and home by 9:00 to beat the heat, it's going to be another hot one here today but rain is on the way tomorrow to cool things off.

Way to go Nat, that is one absolutely gorgeous cross. I'd have it about five minutes and it would disappear. I would find it on a chain around the spousal units neck. Its beautiful. Yep, that's a toe ring alright. Keep up the good work. Glad you got some rain, we got a little yesterday, very little.

Hey Natman, those volleyball sand courts sound like St. Ferdinand Park. I took a friend over there Tuesday who had never been metal detecting. I loaned him my Beach Magnet, and he really got a big kick out it. It was too hot to stay long, but he was happy to have finally satisfied his curiosity about metal detecting.
