First off I just want to thank everyone on this forum for all the wonderful information they share with all their fellow CRHs on a daily basis. I was bit by the CRH bug by accident , I found a silver quarter in my change quite randomly 2 weeks ago and came across this forum while doing research on it and after reading all the posts for over a week I finally went out to the bank yesterday to pick up some boxes to start. I went to the bank looking for halves, but neither teller had any, and there were no boxes in the vault so I gave in and got a box of pennies instead. I live on Long Island, NY so have many banks at my disposal but being that im just starting i plan on taking it slow at 1st, maybe a box or 2 of halves a week. Anyways for my Penny boc i think i made out alittle better then average...here is what the finial tally way
27 Wheats-The oldest of which were 2 1930s, most were early to mid 40s
5 Canadian Pennies- The oldest being a 1960
And the most surprising part is I ended up with about 70% Copper which i will be stashing away.
It was a Loomis box for any of those wondering.
Tomorrow i will be giving some of the coins a once over to check for errors.
