My First Confederate Button !!!

I called a friend that lets me hunt his 500 acres to see if he minded it I come over and detected awhile today. There are several old house places on the land and I have found numerous old flat buttons and some Union Eagle buttons there. Today was the day I would find my first Confederate button. It's a Script " I " button. I am not sure of the maker as the back is made of iron ( pretty rare ) from what I've read. The shank is missing but I'll take it. Found several other pretty cool relics also. When I got home I could feel stuff crawling all over me, the wife volunteered to help check me for ticks. LOL I had 21 on me. Yuck I hate those suckers.
Well I guess it was worth it.

Thanx everyone. I have not had anything to post in a long while. Alot of my favorite haunts are so overgrown it's next to impossible to get in and detect. I have my eye on a few new spots. Hopefully I will be able to start making some cool finds again soon.

A big congratulations on your Confederate button! I have yet to dig one, I have lots of Yankee buttons, but no Confederate ones. Good luck to you on finding more, and maybe even a belt plate.
