I took my Minelab Safari out to a local park for an hour today to mainly get used to it. I got lucky and found $.45 in clad and a .223 brass casing in the playground area. I then decided to head into a small group of trees that had a few trails around them. I had a hit almost immediately near the base of one of the larger trees. I started digging and out pops (1) older (guessing 1950-1960 era from what I found on Internet small toy car) it is a Yatming Fast Wheels Mercedes Benz 350 SL Hardtop. I sweep the hole again and the Safari is still sounding off. I continue digging in the same hole and find a small black token (resembles a checker piece, no metal only plastic). I keep digging and pull (2) additional small toy cars that appear to be from the mid 1900's era also. I sweep the hole again but now the Safari remains silent. I must say that I was pretty excited pulling all those cars from the same hole. I can't wait to get back out to hunt again tomorrow! GL and HH image.jpg

Congrats. Saving for my first MD.

Hope my first time out is as interesting as your!

that particular body style of mercedes sl is the 3rd generation. they were produced from '72 to '89, so that might help narrow down the era of your finds

Sweet, the die cast hot rod and jeep are probably 60's-70's Tootsietoys. Happy Hunting, Sub 8-)

Thanks to everyone for looking and the additional information on my finds.

I found quite a Few of tootsie cars myself. I have found both the jeep and hot rod myself. Those two are pretty common but they are collectable. Nice hunt
