I was able to hunt a field with some very old history(for the states anyway). Which was wonderful for my first real land hunt(been in the water and ocean all summer). European settlements here are known as far back as before 1650. With that in mind, any insight as to the age or identity of this button would be much appreciated.

The front is smooth and convex with no apparent markings, engravings, or wording. The inside has a pattern going all the way around. You can see part of it in the photo on the top right of the back. While in the photo it does not appear to be visible all the way around, it is if you held it and looked at it.

Thank you in advance for any help on identifying my very first button! ;D

If i had to guess I would say late 1700's- early 1800's on the button. I have one like it and it was found around artifacts of the same era.
