My First Box of Halves (found silver!)

Hello everybody! I'm brand new to coin and silver collecting. I stumbled upon this forum earlier in the week and I want to thank everyone for all of the information and for sharing your great finds as well as your skunks.

My bank is ordering me my first box of halves to be picked up on Tuesday. I can't wait to see what's there. I'll post shortly afterwards. Let's hope I find something!

I was so excited to carry a box of halves out of the bank today, my first box! I knew it was 26lbs or so, but it was heavier than I imagined. First roll: 1 40% silver. Second roll: another 40% silver! I ended up with 5 40% (4 1967s and 1 1968). Not a bad start, right? What do you think?

Thanks! Was hoping for a couple of 90% but I'm still happy with my first box. I'll do it again for sure!

Beginners luck! I've had beginners luck with half dollars as well. Back in January of this year, I got my first ever box of half dollars which produced one 90% and six 40%. I thought it would be a dream box as there was a 1964 kennedy on the end of a roll NO LIE. Have searched 3 more boxes since and have been skunks.

Getting 2 more boxes this upcoming tuesday... will post results sometime next week as I save some to open with family. (most likely next weekend will have results)
