Finally...something to post. A bucket lister for me, and it didn't require my detector. A spear point that my archaeology buddy dated this around 5000 years old. From Central Florida. I also pulled this solid sterling cross. Everything from this property has been 1930's and earlier so I don't think the cross is any exception. I cannot make out the back so any input would be great. Thanks for looking

Gorgeous finds, congratulations. The cross appears to be marked "900" for 90% silver, and then has the upside down hallmark of "Kremos Roma." I found this on the web and you can dig deeper...

Demetrio Kremos, a Macedonian silversmith who remembered Sotirios skills in chasing silver. Kremos, who was en route to Italy, persuaded young Sotirios to join him. In the autumn of 1880, they sailed for Brindisi and then proceeded to Naples. There they opened a small shop in Piazza dei Martiri, where they sold their artefacts in silver and plate. One evening, while the two partners were dining, the shop was broken into and many of their products stolen . This unfortunate event prompted Boulgaris and Kremos to abandon Naples and leave for Rome, where they arrived on 18 February, 1881...

Cheers, Sub 8-)

Nice finds. You are lucky to get a perfect point for your first one. So many are broken. That cross is huge!

I agree with Don on that it could very well be 800. IS the loop for the chain complete? if so, the chain is out there probably close to where yo found the cross.

Grats on your finds and thanks for sharing.
