Guys,
I got out for a short hunt this afternoon on a large, vacant city lot. There was a lot of 5" deep memorials in the meat of the yard. I moved over to one of the lot lines and started to parallel it toward the back, praying for silver. I was finding some 3" deep 1980s quarters. Next hit was at 3". At first I thought it was a Peso or game token, as the coin was so crisp. I instantly recognized the shield when I flipped it and knew it was a good one. I am stunned by the condition it is in. It could not have been in circulation long before it was lost.
Anyway, I am very happy, my first 2 cent piece
