Congratulations on your first coin! I still remember mine...it was a 1974 clad dime at the beach. It is now in the collection with the rest of my 'keepers'.

First finds are great----you never now what you might find in the woods--watch for old stone piles or holes that may have been foundations---good luck---

Congrats!
Awesome job Jennifer!
It sounds like you've got 'detecting fever' already! You are bound to find some cool old stuff if the house was built in the 1920s. Keep at it, it just gets better and better. Happy Hunting, and may your finds bag outweigh your trash bag!

Congrats and welcome to what to many is an obsession! I have the 350 and run 3 to 4 bars, but it really depends on the mineral content and what i am doing.

Congrats on your first coin and new hobby!!!

HH,John

Congrates on your finds and your new hobby! You are going to love this website

i already do love this website its the first thing i do when i wake up :)

Congrats and welcome T.Net !

i have my Garrett Ace 250 how many bars do u use

Seen this question many times in various forms. "What settings do you use ?"
General rule of thumb is to use the most sensitivity, and the least amount of discrimination, as you can stand, and the particular site will allow. I go wide open almost all the time, but some users don't like that much "noise" So the settings that person "X" uses at location "Y" is not necessarily what you might like.

Welcome to T-Net! Congrats and HH.

Great job Jennifer and welcome to TN!
Coily, I love the signature! That is one of my favorite quotes! I dont hear it often enough. Was it Thomas Payne who said that?

It was Robert Heinlein,a Science fiction writer who coined that phrase atomicscott. I haven't read any of his works but I liked the quote too.

You need to frame these 2 coins in a shadowbox or something and never spend 'em.

Miss Jennifer, First off Welcome to The "Net", And second Congrats on finding your first coins.
Being from the 1920's, Your yard may hold some killer finds, maybe even 1800's coins! I never
really clean my clad, not unless it's really bad, I save a Jug dull and take it down to the local
coin star machine and...............Bam! Battery money....Good luck and................HH

Actually, we are both wrong! It was Thomas Jefferson who originally said it. I knew it was someone during the colonial days! It has to do with the 2nd amendment so thats what Jefferson was referring to.

Congrats on your first...It will only get better, and you will have lots of firsts to remember.Im on my 7th year of hunting and still had firsts for last year:First 2 center, first standing Liberty quarter, first Walker Half, well you see my point, anyway great job.
